Personalized Thank You and Reminder Cards first started out as marketing tools for Automotive Service & Repair Shop businesses. (They are now being utilized by many non-automotive businesses – service and professional alike.) Initially, these 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" gloss cards were produced for shops that knew the value in customer service as well as marketing to one’s own customer base.

The basic idea was for every shops’ auto technicians to have their own personalized cards, which included: their photo, a brief bio of their work history and training, a statement of commitment to quality work and customer service and, of course, a "Thank You" to the customer who’s vehicle they worked on. These cards would be placed in the vehicle for the customer to discover.

Keep Those Cards Coming…
One to two weeks later, after a vehicle’s been serviced, the shop owner would send another Card – his or her own Thank You Card to the customer(s) by mail. These cards typically have a photo of the owner (sometimes with spouse and children), a little bio on the shop owner, his / her "word" to perform only quality work and vowing to continue a good customer service program. And, of course, a big "Thank you for entrusting your vehicle to our shop."
